Are you searching for a local BMX club near you? Look no further than Maroondah BMX Club, also known as the Eastfield Eagles. Joining our club is simple - start by obtaining a Club License through AUS cycling, which can be done online. This license is mandatory to participate in all events, including club coaching, gate nights, and races on any track in Australia.
For newcomers, the first 4 weeks are free of charge with AUS Cycling, and yearly memberships start at just $100 depending on age. By choosing Maroondah BMX Club as your affiliate, you guarantee your insurance coverage and become a part of our exciting community.
Once you have your AUS Cycling membership we are excited to offer you your first coaching session for free. After that, our coaching services range from just $5-$20 per week. Our experienced coaches are dedicated to helping you reach your cycling goals and improve your performance on the bike

What do you need to start?
Before you commit to buying anything the club will loan you bike, helmet and gloves until your 100% on board! Then we have a huge amount on contacts, second hand options and resources to share.
BMX bike: Choose a bike that fits your size and skill level. We can help recommend the best fit at your first session.
Full-face helmet: Mandatory for safety, especially for racing.
Gloves: Provide grip on the handlebars and protect your hands.
Protective clothing: Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt at all times. Once you commit we can recommend many great suppliers and you can even order a personalized club jersey from our rad supplier ACE1


What do I need to Race?
Race Plate: You will also need to choose a race number between 8-999 (numbers 1 -8 are reserved for the top 8 riders of the state and country). Think carefully as this number will follow you on your BMX journey!
Transponder: From the age of 8 your required to race with a transponder for timing. You can purchase a transponder from AusCycling or My Laps (Online). You will need to purchase the ProChip FLEX which is purchased with a subscription of 1 or 2 years.
