Maroondah BMX Club, affectionately known as the Eastfield Eagles Nest, has been a cornerstone of the BMX community since its founding in 1980. Originally located at Norton Park in Croydon, we relocated to our current home on Colchester Road in Kilsyth in 1991.

We host a range of exciting events throughout the year, including the ever-popular Track Attack and the Aus Cycling State Series. We recently underwent a significant upgrade, installing a Pro Gate system for our barrel gate, enhancing safety for all our riders.

 

Our facility is open to the public, welcoming both seasoned riders and those just starting out. We offer regular club coaching and practice gate nights, welcoming children as young as 3 who can confidently ride a pedal bike. Even our youngest mini wheelers, as young as 2, enjoy participating in club events!

Maroondah BMX Club is proud to be the home of many talented athletes, including the Turner brothers, who have been with the club for over 25 years, with Bodi Turner representing Australia as an Olympian at the Rio 2016 games. We are thrilled to support our riders as they compete on the world stage – we even cheered on one of our under 9 boys at the World Championships in France! We also celebrated one of our female 45+ riders who competed at the World Championships in Rock Hill, USA. We also have up-and-coming athletes currently ranked in the top 8 in both Australia and Victoria, and are actively promoting female involvement in the sport, with some fantastic young female riders making their mark on the track.

Run by its members, Maroondah BMX Club is a true family club. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all riders. We are always eager to welcome new riders to join our community!
